I am currently using Win XP PRO on a HP laptop with a Intel (R) Pentium (R) processor 2.00 ghs. Will this one install and run this machine?
By Customer Service on February 6, 2013

Based on the specifications you've designated, your computer should be able to properly run Windows 7. However, please check the complete system requirements of Windows 7 to be sure. The complete system requirements can be found here:

Your website says as follows:

"Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium x64 (P/N: GFC-02021) License
Microsoft Windows 7 32 Bit Installation Disk
Microsoft EULA Agreement"

Is the license for 32-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 7?

By Customer Service on April 6, 2012

We apologize for the confusion, this item does include a Windows 7 32-bit license.

Unfortunately, Windows cannot be installed on a Chromebook, which is designed to run only Google's Chrome OS.

I have the Windows 7 upgrade from the original Vista OS. Also, Vista has been completely deleted from the PC. Can I install the full version of Windows 7 over the upgrade and what would be the advantage of doing so?
By Customer Service on August 21, 2012

You would want to reinstall a fresh copy of Windows 7 as this is always the best option. We recommend backing up your Users directory and any other files in different locations that you want to keep prior to doing this.

The advantage to doing this is to ensure a "clean" install versus upgrading an already inferior product.

I thought Windows 7 comes with the 32 bit and the 64 bit on the same disk. is thier a difference with this product?
By Customer Service on September 11, 2012

No, there is separate installation disk for 32 and 64 bit editions of Windows. This product is 32 bit only.

By Dee from Henderson on March 6, 2013

You can install this product onto a fresh hard drive.

By Customer Service on March 30, 2012

By Dick from Coleville, CA on February 19, 2014
Can this be a direct install over XP, or do I need to install with a "clean" hard drive before installing?
By Customer Service on February 19, 2014

OEM software has be done as a fresh install, so the the Hard Drive must be formatted and reloaded.

By lynn from Charlotte, NC on March 13, 2012
I currently have Vista (ugh!) running on my pc. Will my current TV tuner and video drivers be affected by a full installation?
By Customer Service on March 14, 2012

You will have to reinstall the drivers again once you install Windows 7. Any hardware working in Vista should work with Windows 7 just fine.
