Our technical support team consists of computer hardware experts and geeks that specialize in everything hardware related.

Will I lose all my data if I get a virus removed?
No! Usually one of the first signs of an inexperienced or otherwise lazy technician is that they tell you your data will be lost when your operating system has to be re-installed. Prior to making any changes to your system we will back up all of your pictures, documents, movies, music, iTunes, or any other data you need. If your data can still be read off of your hard drive you can be assured that we will get it backed up for you! Don't risk your files with any other tech.

Do I need to have my restore CDs / DVDs?  I can't seem to find those?
No.  OutletPC is a Microsoft Certified OEM repair center. We carry and install all types of Windows installations without the need for your recovery media. If you're already licensed for a version of Windows we will install that without you needing to bring anything other than the computer in.

Can I upgrade my computer to Windows 7?
Yes! We stock all the versions of Windows 7 - Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional, and Windows 7 Ultimate. Bring your system down to us and we'll check your hardware and see if it'll be compatible with Windows 7.

Yes! We're located in the heart of Green Valley in Henderson, NV and serve the entire Las Vegas valley. We are close to Sunset Station Casino and are on the East Side of the Valley Automall. If you live in Las Vegas, we're near you!

Article: 5 Signs your Computer Repair Guy is a Moron

My wife does a lot of business on eBay and was recently frustrated by a buyer that, after weeks of communication about a certain purchase, just up and quit responding to her. We later found out that sheíd been having some computer issues; apparently her computer had frozen while she checked her email. Unsure of what to do, she called a local shop who promptly arrived at her house, ready to help. The kind tech. then told her that sheíd ruined her hard drive by attempting to send too large an attachment on her email, and that her hard drive would have to be replaced. The tech replaced the drive, and, as you might have guessed, it made no difference. The repair guyís next, and final, suggestion is that the lady buy a new computer, which she did.

If you read this without feeling like something was fishy about the whole affair, you could probably benefit from this list of five ways to tell if the guy repairing your computer is a moron.
  1. Heís your Nephew
Contrary to what you might thing, thereís a big gap between being able to use a computer and being able to repair a computer. Just because your nephew sports the boney, pale bod of a 15-hour-a-day World of Warcraft addict, doesnít mean heís qualified to fix your computer, though he most likely thinks he can. Your brother or uncle may be able to help, but only if they already help other people professionally. Whatever you do, though, donít hand your computer over to your brother-in-law. Youíll never see it again.

  2. His first guess isnít viruses

  3. Computer viruses are literally more common than the common cold these days, popping up in millions of different forms with more being developed every day. If your PC is freezing up, giving you funny pop-ups, and/or loaded with malware and your tech suggests a hardware replacement before checking for viruses, thereís something wrong. Certain situations are different, of course; if it's blue-screening, wonít boot, or has other serious problems, itís probably a hardware issue.

  4. He wants to fix a leaky pipe with a new trampoline

  5. You donít need a card reader. If thereís something wrong with your computer, itís not because you donít have a card reader, or a temperature monitor, or a second hard drive, or what have you. Computer problems are caused by things that are already in your computer, not by things you donít have, so be wary if your tech says he needs to add something new into your computer. Combine this one with number three and make sure that the tech can tell you why a certain addition will fix the problem heís meant to be fixing.

  6. He doesnít know what heís talking about

  7. A good computer tech will be able explain why heís doing what heís doing. If your repair guy says you need to replace your motherboard, he should tell you exactly why it needs replacing. If he canít, heís probably guessing (and charging you for it). He may not identify what caused a certain part to malfunction (he didnít make the part), but he should know which part it is before he starts running up your bill with replacements.

  8. Check the reviews!

  9. In the age of the internet, there is no real reason to go into anything uninformed. Before you choose a computer repair shop, read up! Look for reviews on Yelp, Google Places, or other review sites, and actually read them. Checking a placeís ďstarĒ rating is all well and good, but the things customers have actually said about a business are a lot better.
