I have 3 pv 150 inverters now. All doing fine.
Nice little unit, not a cheapy. I'll be looking at this brand when i buy a larger inverter.I have 2 now, both working fine. The second is wired directly to the power terminal (fused of course). I use it daily. The first is still a battery powered ups system, works every time i need it.I now have 3 of the pv150 inverters. 1 is hard wired to a ups system, 1 is hard wired in the cab of my truck and the last one i bought is for using in other vehicles. All are still doing fine. The one in my truck is used daily.Just a note for those that are looking at 120v inverters. The power being used on the 12v side of the inverter is a bit more than 10 times the power being used on the 120v side. The weak link in these systems is the cigarette lighter socket. My truck has 3. Only one is for higher amperage, the one where the actual cigarette lighter goes. The other 2 are for accessories, like a usb converter or a 12v dvd player. If your cig. Plug is getting warm when you use your inverter, it needs to be hard wired. Imho, a 150 watt inverter is the absolute max that can be used in the cig. Lighter socket. But still,,, i do recommend that the 150w inverters be hard wired.
