Nightmare!
This is not just the worst cooler, but the worst computer part i ever bought. Whoever designed this should be sued collectively for the price of destroyed motherboards by all affected users.This thing is designed such, once installed it make a short circuit that fries motherboards it installed in. I was going crazy. I ordered three motherboards in the row, and i just couldn't figure out why none of them would work after powering on for a short time. Even quality motherboards with surge protection succumbed to this "motherboard killer" after a short while. My 3rd motherboard literally "screamed in pain" (whining/buzzing noise) as it was dying.I wasted a lot of time, and money having to replace and return motherboards until i finally found out that this cooler was the reason for my woes. Off course, once the cooler was replaced for a different one, and the fourth motherboard ordered, everything started working normally.Please, if you value your time and money do not buy this dangerous product! It should have been pulled off the market a long time ago!

Excellent fan! Cool my cpu with no problem!
I bought this cpu fan quite a while ago but it is still spinnin' strong! Cools my i5-3570k with no problem! Its great that thermaltake gives you the low noise adapter. Installing the fan to the heatsink was little bit of a pain in the ass but i got it on after few good minutes. Huge fan so you're not going to have any problem of your computer overheating. I'm using the low noise adapter so it is relatively quiet. The price is reasonable and overall great cpu fan! Would recommend this to any enthusiast!

Quiet and outstanding
Keeps it extremely chill while i'm playing battlefield 1 and running servers and i never even hear it. Bigger than i expected and i have a mid sized tower but it fit fine.

I'm giving you SEVEN good reasons not to buy this.
If you read me: don't buy this.Now down to the reasons:-first, if you don't have much of a clue of electronics or you are simply on a rush, this cooler will eventually brick your system board.-second, if you have a tight board, the upper support will acquire on the way of a dimm-third, on the lga2011, you can't employ your board's own lga backplate (unless you pull out the same stunt that i did)-forth, whatever socket you have, it will be a pain to install-fifth, if your video card is in the very first slot from top to bottom, the heat spreader will likely hit it or be dangerously close in a way that any shake could induce a touch or a proximity close enough for a tiny static arch that will fry your card-sixth, the base is poorly polished with big gaps between the copper heatpipe ends and the aluminum base-seventh, even if you execute everything right, every time you glance at your tower something inside of you will remind you that there's likely an imminent risk of frying your computer... You'll begin thinking of all hours you had to work to pay for that computer and everything could be in vain fair because you were too stubborn and bought a cooler with a serious design flaw, ignoring negative reviews were people effectively lost money because of itbut if you question me, i'm not returning it, and why two starts stead of one:-too indolent to return-too poor to fully populate the dimms slots here, so the ones that the hideous upper support frame got on the way were actually empty and will likely stay empty for quite a long time-i kinda enjoyed the drama of putting this together knowing that any mistake would slay the board or the vga or both-my cpu is a low tdp model so the gaps mentioned on the sixth reason above don't harm the overall performance of the cooler-it looks chilly in the end; love a tiny trophy of bravery and craftsmanship needed to overcome this horrendous design
