What are KVM cables?
KVM cables help in using two or more systems with the same monitor, keyboard and mouse. They are equipped with VGA for the monitor and either USB or PS/2 connectors for the keyboard and mouse connections. Using these and a KVM switch, you'll be able to switch from using one system to another easily.
What are Thunderbolt cables?
Thunderbolt cables use the same connection type as Mini DisplayPort, but use a different controllers for an increase in bandwidth and data transfer performance. 1st generation Thunderbolt cables support up to 10Gb/s transfer speed. Thunderbolt also supports audio and video connections. A single Thunderbolt connection supports up to 6 Thunderbolt devices daisy-chained together.
