It has very slow access times (have to wait like 20-30 sec to open files)

Outstanding drive
I bought 3 of these december 2014 (i don't trust wd to store my data after 3 drive failures in a year) they are running in software raid 5 on a poweredge 2950. They have been going for 4 months non-stop without a single issue. Write speed is a little slower then i like but that could be raid, read speed is very fast, and the available 4 tb of space is very welcome. Looking at getting a powervault and pack it with these drives. Storage for days years.I will report back if one drops out but don't hold your breath.

Purchased in oct 2013, it worked until early 2015 where it suddenly started overheating terribly (i have a constant heat display which shows only the hard drive rising in temperature, until it is so hot it finally starts to impact nearby components).. Awaiting on warranty claim approval.

Failed short of the 2yr mark
Well, this drive lasted 1 year and 10 months before it started making strange sounds and died. Would expect more from an internal hard drive; this is probably one of the first i've had that has failed this early.
