Paying for speed.
Pricey, i'll give it that but you're paying for pure speed. This is insanely fast and will easily split your load time by 50%

Great drive but it does not like dynamic content like cache files. I store mine else where.

Fast. Bleeding fast.
It took a bit to configure on my old board, but it finally came to life. And when it did... Wow. You'll think you're operating on a ram disk. It's that fast. The issue i had with it originally was the fact that there's a little poorly documented switch on the thing. When i didn't see it come up in bios as a disk, i shut down the machine, flipped that switch, thinking that 2nd position was the 'legacy mode.' it's not, the switch is default "legacy mode." if you flip that switch and plug it into an older mobo, you're never going to see it. Keep that switch in the original position and don't look for it to enumerate as a "storage device" ... Look for it in your boot disk list.Because the documentation is so poor that i needed to contact asus about it, i dock one star... Because it's otherwise incredible.

8 gigs? Not worth it! Avoid this!!!!!! Asus customer service is the worst
This got only 8 gigs? And at that price? Asus just lost a customer for being rude on the phone people call in and hang up on people to avoid respond questions. I made some serious mistakes buying asus. What left is evga and asrock i cannot stand asus worst customer support. Customers are the ones handing over there paychecks. Kick customers off the phone is rude and i will never do that.

If you have any idea what you are doing with building a computer this card is a waste of money
If your a non tech savvy gamer, this card is for you to improve performance. If you have any thought what you are doing with building a computer this card is a waste of money. Here are some stats for you using the include disk benchmark tool. The first one is the raidr, the second is a properly configured raid0 ssd. The raidr is not even in the same league with something that is 2/3rds the price, 25% faster in most bench marks and has twice the storage. You are paying for the ease of configuration and software that create keeping the raidr in top shape, i am still debating if returning it is worth the hassle, it does not even approach close to reported "up to 840" speeds. Conclusion: want a quick machine with easy maintenance and have a generous budget, this will create a excellent os drive. Want a drive to load games on and have the ability to properly raid two sata based ssds... Recede with 2 evo 840s with 240gb each (480) and blow the raidr out of the water. I can only image what a piece of crap 2 evo 850 pros would create this card gaze like.Raidr-----------------------------------------------------------------------crystaldiskmark 3.0.2 (c) 2007-2013 hiyohiyo crystal dew world : ----------------------------------------------------------------------* mb/s = 1,000,000 byte/s [sata/300 = 300,000,000 byte/s] sequential read : 634.669 mb/s sequential write : 463.744 mb/s random read 512kb : 585.455 mb/s random write 512kb : 438.289 mb/s random read 4kb (qd=1) : 27.579 mb/s [ 6733.2 iops] random write 4kb (qd=1) : 84.950 mb/s [ 20739.8 iops] random read 4kb (qd=32) : 265.685 mb/s [ 64864.5 iops] random write 4kb (qd=32) : 377.782 mb/s [ 92231.9 iops] test : 100 mb [c: 10.6% (23.6/222.9 gb)] (x1) date : 2015/09/26 0:41:002 240g evo 840 in raid0-----------------------------------------------------------------------crystaldiskmark 3.0.2 (c) 2007-2013 hiyohiyo crystal dew world : http://crystalmark.Info/-----------------------------------------------------------------------* mb/s = 1,000,000 byte/s [sata/300 = 300,000,000 byte/s] sequential read : 697.539 mb/s sequential write : 873.956 mb/s random read 512kb : 600.236 mb/s random write 512kb : 597.091 mb/s random read 4kb (qd=1) : 21.253 mb/s [ 5188.8 iops] random write 4kb (qd=1) : 130.329 mb/s [ 31818.6 iops] random read 4kb (qd=32) : 339.186 mb/s [ 82809.2 iops] random write 4kb (qd=32) : 586.436 mb/s [143172.9 iops] test : 100 mb [d: 20.7% (92.4/447.1 gb)] (x1) date : 2015/09/26 0:44:16 os : windows 8 professional [6.2 build 9200] (x64)

Incredible for boot drive or ram disk drive
By Kyara Bult
Great product, but not partial for gaming
Incredible product, but not partial for gaming!!! Storage size is to small, incredible speed though. After installing windows and a game you are using up almost half of the space. Cheaper to buy 2 ssd's and raid0 them fair as good,
By Frieda Conrad
Now hear this! Ludicrous speed go!
Monstrously quick ssd. Most bios/uefi configurations will see this as a raid card, so be careful how you employ it. But once you have it setup it will blow other drives out of the water with the speed.
