Great cpu
Upgraded from an fx 8320 and the performance increase is substantial. I could not be happier with this chip. It does everything i need it to for gaming and light music editing and compositions. Able to get a stable over clock of 3.9 ghz and it runs flawlessly. I definitely recommend.

Solid & reliable quad core processor; better performance than modern i3 and i5
The ryzen 5 1400 is a good starting cpu in comparison to the i3 and i5 series of intel cpu's. The price for performance in comparison to those other cpu's is massive. It's more efficient then the i5 7400 which is competing directly against it. This is great for both gaming and video editing processes and overall allows most people to do there daily computing and light rendering cpu question with little problems. With a 3d mark score of about 4,000 during my tests, it fares well against its competitors. If you're looking for a solid quad-core cpu on a budget and the 50 dollars between this and a 1600 is out of your budget, this is the way to go.

Decent cpu
Ryzen is a great budget cpu when it comes to the 1400. I strongly recommend just spending the extra 40$ and get the 1600 model. Seriously listen to this review. Even if your budgeting i totally understand. Make the sacrifice and and gather the 40$ and go for the ryzen 1600. It will be so worth it. Otherwise this isnt a terrible buy but it's no bang for your buck.

Way better than i expected!
Paired this with a gtx 1050ti and 16gb 3000mhz ram and i'm getting between 200-350 fps with max settings at 1080p on most exports games i play like cs:go and lol and other more demanding games still get well over 60fps, with settings usually maxed out or at least close to it.

Time to upgrade....
Upgraded from the fx platform to ryzen. I decided to change from an aio cooler, to the provided stealth, for a less clutter look. I notice the thermal have improved with not only the cpu, but the airflow of my mid-tower case. I made a small mistake, not fully researching the product, i had windows 7, which would not recognize my keyboard and mouse. Come to find out with ryzen, you would need windows 10, which delayed my build.
Great processor!
Great processor! Fast as the wind, yet even under load it never seems to use all the processors. So my machine is always responsive!Excellent processor for the price! I highly recommend!
