SATA III 6Gb/s SSD370 (Premium)
-All the speed is back and even faster. Transcend’s SSD370 SATA III 6G/s SSD boasts incredibly fast transfer speeds, a compact and lightweight design, shock and vibration resistance, and supports DevSleep mode. That means you can enjoy a seamless, lag-free computing experience even when using your notebook on an extended journey.

Save power. Fast response.
-The SSD370 maximizes notebook battery life when not in use thanks to the full support of SATA Device Sleep Mode (DevSleep). DevSleep ultra low power state conserves more battery power than current power saving features such as standby mode by shutting down the SATA interface completely. With a remarkable response time of less than 100 milliseconds, you can start working on your computer again almost instantly.

Ultra-slim. Ultra-portable.
-The SSD370 features the industry-standard 2.5" form factor. Yet, it measures just 7mm in height and only weighs a mere 52g, which is best suited with thin-and-light notebooks, mainstream PCs, and today’s advanced Ultrabooks.

A new level of reliability.
-The SSD370 offers an aggressive garbage collection and recycling system. To further increase the lifespan of the SSD370, built-in wear-leveling and Error Correction Code (ECC) ensure continued reliable data transfer. SSD Scope also includes a convenient System Clone utility to help make upgrading your existing computer to the performance boost of an SSD370 quick and easy.

Take control with SSD Scope.
-To keep your Transcend SSD running fast, clean, and error-free, the advanced SSD Scope software application is available to download and work with the SSD370. SSD Scope allows you to monitor SSD370 health status with S.M.A.R.T. technology, enable the TRIM command in the operating system to help maintain optimum write speeds, and conveniently update SSD firmware, all from a single user-friendly tool.

Fast ssd, it will show 238gb in your computer property info which is normal.

Super fast, comes with adapter.
Comes with adapter to normal drive bay size, so don't buy one! Do buy a sata cable if you need one.Installation is a breeze, and it comes with a link in the instructions to download cloning software to copy your windows (or everything) over. Can't believe how much faster things boot from this drive. My "windows experience" is now maxed.

New life to old dell.
Bought this drive to replace a bad drive in a dell inspiron 15 n5050 laptop. Laptop has 4 gb of ddr3 and a second gen core i3 processor. Drive installed easily and no modifications were needed to be able to install and boot windows 7. Drive is very quick. Ran a crystaldisk benchmark on the laptop and was able to read at 550mbps and write at over 330mbps. It is rated up to 500+ write but it is limited by the speed of the processor. Great buy, especially on a lightning deal. I would definitely buy it again, if it is on a lightning deal.

Seems to work well...So far! Meets specs as reviewed!
Great performance and a great price!
Recently upgraded a 250gb notebook hdd with this. I initially considered the very popular samsung evo line, but just happened to see a great review on cnet for this transcend line. Given the review and competitive price, i went for it.I cloned a 250gb hdd onto this in about 16 minutes and then used a usb 3.0 stick to transfer the user files via windows easy transfer program. I haven't tested it yet, but i'd full expect the read write times to meet or exceed the advertised specs. So far, the drive is rock solid and really given the notebook a wonderful performance boost.
Love the drive could use better instructions.
This was my first time ever purchasing an ssd for a laptop. I was not sure how the process was going to go swapping out a 5400 rpm drive to this ssd. Im am pretty good with computers but i dont consider myself an expert by any means. I received the drive in a small box and ordered a stata cable (you need this) off of outletpc as well. They both arrived in great shape. I got up early over the weekend to get this done before my wife woke up or i would have gotten the evil eye that basically says "why are you messing with something like this because you are going to break it and then we will be buying a new computer".I installed this in a 3 year old hp 4510 probook with an i3 processor and 4 meg of ram. The computer was slow from new and was only getting worse. It would take 2-3 min to boot up and good luck opening ms word. I am not a gamer or download anything very often but i do have a lot of pictures from backing up my iphone. The original drive was 750gb but i was only using about 100 of it so the 256 was going to work fine.On thing i will say before the pro's and con's. Go out and watch a couple of youtube video's to understand exactly what you are doing and dont expect much in the way of instructions from transend(or any other manuf. From what i have heard).Pro'swow the speed is amazing i now have a computer that boots in approx 15 seconds (was 3 min)way easier to installed into the computer than what i thought it would be.I noticed much better battery life almost immediately.Happy wifecon'sas many of the other people who wrote on here the software kinda stinks but it did workinstructions suck as well. At one point the instructions are trying to explain what is happening during the software exchange and it states that it is copying the os only by clicking this box (it was already clicked) and i could not uncheck the box even though i wanted everything to be tranferred but i could not get the software to perform this action. Finally i was like ok... (ieverything was backed up elseware) but at the end of the day it brought everything over.I like this so much i purchased another for an old mac book i have.
