Apu gaming 2400g
I should have said, i had a ryzen 1300x before this so i was able to flash the bios before installing this apu. I did not have the problem with this apu not being able to post to flash the bios that you would run into if this was used for your first build.Added this to my system and removed my r7 360 graphics card. Games run just as well with much less fan noise and heat. Recommended for a medium duty gaming desktop. I love it.

Fair warning!
You can not drop this cpu/apu into existing b350 or x370 motherboards unless you have already updated the bios on that board. Contact your mobo manufacturer before you purchase one and question what they can do. Msi offered to ship mine back for free and flash/test it but that will take a week...
Update bios first! But outstanding price/performance see details
Pros:- outstanding price- great value- power cpu, and mid range gpucons:- the average consumer won't know how to update their bios- bios should be updated prior to users receiving motherboards, however, it is hard to tell if customer will pair motherboard with a 2000's cpu if the customer buys the cpu somewhere else- you won't be able to boot, an unapproved motherboard unless you have another am4 processor besides a 2000's series. The cpu will get power but no post, no beeps, nothing. So just be careful and if your upgrading from another am4 cpu, like the a series apu's, ryzen 1200, 1300x, 1400, or 1500 then you will be fine. A brand new build with no extra parts, the customer may find themselves in trouble.

Arrived doa. My motherboard is updated to support raven ridge and was still doa. Tested the mobo with another ryzen processor and it worked, this 2400g was the culprit.I am returning it and getting a replacement and will update this review once i install the replacement

Check the thermal paste before you install for dust from the box!!
Was on back-order got it 3 days earlier than was predicted from outletpc! Now just waiting on ram to come down in price a bit(probably wont but i'm gonna give it another week!). Looks great in the asus rog striv b350-f gaming motherboard.Would have enjoy some kind of protection for the thermal paste had to clean it off and use my own because it was covered in cardboard dust. Not a big problem i'm going to more than likely add a bigger cooler anyway.

Works perfect straight out of the box

Good for new build
Good for new build. Need to update bios on existing am4. I regret buying an atx motherboard. This can be an easy mini-itx build. The future is bright. Next fad may be little tiny pcs.Edit: highly recommend at least 16gb dual channel. There isn't a video card so it's sharing ram with your system.

Plastic stuck in the thermal compound
Great amd apu for my htpc. I had some trouble with the included cooler as the plastic shattered and got stuck in the thermal compound. I had to remove the compound and replace it with aftermarket thermal compound. There wasn't any external damage to the packaging either. Pics show the damages.
