Works well for transfers, very fragile when assembling
I bought a couple of these for some ssds i had around the house. The transfer speeds are great and the units stay cool.They're very light and the circuitry is very fragile! When you plug in your sata hard drive be very very very careful or the board will snap.Once the units are screwed in they're solid and durable.I have three so far and if i need another cheap sata / usb 3 case i'll probably grab this model again.

I wish i could give this zero stars
The previous reviewer is right and i wish i had read his posting earlier. I inserted my drive into the enclosure and tightened the screws, there was no response from either of two computers that i attached the enclosure bay to. So i opened it up to check the attachment. I removed the adapter from the drive and about a dozen pins pulled out. Very poorly made and it took me about an hour to remove the broken pins and plug from my drive. I purchased another enclosure and it works fine now. But this kingwin is absolute junk.By the way, don't try emailing their customer service address. M y email bounced because it was full. No surprise there......

The usb 3.0 conector never fitted well in the enclosure, finally as i pushed harder the cable it stop working.I thought it was the hard disk that failed, but conecting it to another case i discovered that it was fine, and that the kingwin usb conector was completely broken.

Poor design
Hard drives to not attach securely to the internal connector. The pcb board sticks out so far that it blocks hard drives from a snug connection against the internal sata connector.

Good as a hdd case if you have a spare ...
The female usb of the casing came loose(solder is disconnected from the board) if you are not careful enough. Everything else, good as a hdd case if you have a spare hdd.

Great enclosure, not one single problem setting up and running on my laptops as well as desktop. As well is really fast interface. I will be purchasing a second one soon.

Appears okay. Unfortunately the follow shows up in the q&a section of this page:question:does it come with power supply and require any tool to assemble or respond? Comes with a usb cable, power adapter, inner hard drive screws and a screwdriver.Product does not come with a power adapter of any sort, just the usb cable. Unfortunately the statement that this comes with a power adapter was one of the reasons i bought it.We'll see if it works well enough without. Very disgruntled at misleading information.
