This product is a lifesaver!!! Read!!!
I live in the room farthest from the wifi router in my house so the wifi is extremely weak. It is a quality router so problem was signal i tried a linksys wifi extender which helped but only allowed me to receive a somewhat medium signal and me as a gamer wasn’t satisfied!! I found out about the over power technology and decided to give it a try and wow 168 was my high on mbps and got a 1 ms ping i couldn’t be happier this has solved my problem without running a 100 ft ethernet cord all the way upstairs. It even comes with two 6 ft cat5e cables !!! Thank you tp-link !

      Slow speed & frequent drops
Using just a pair of these, on "clean" internal wiring, they are nowhere near advertised speeds, even when working. I only had 170-250 mpbs speeds (per the tp-link plc utility), even after updating the firmware. I replaced their cat 5e cables with cat 6, and that increased my speeds to the 180-280 mbps range. However, these drop the connection frequently; no there's nothing else running on local wiring when this happens. Multiple times a day, connection will drop for anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes. This is apparently a common, well-known problem that the manufacturer has never chosen to address. I've applied the latest firmware, as well as running a constant ping in the background, but nothing seems to prevent this. Wish i had found this out during the return period or never bought these to start.

Works as advertised. Great for when you need an additional gigabit network port in a room but do not want to run additional cables.

      Use to connect tivo minis
If you have a new tivo bolt, you'll come to discover that your minis will no longer connect through your previous wireless gateway (if you use them that way). The new tivo communications protocol can't use wireless gateways, because they abstract the mac address. These little gems solve the problem. Replace your wireless gateway with these, connecting one to your internet and the other to your mini somewhere else in the house. Magic!

It's okay, but gets nowhere even close to the speeds advertised
I'm well aware that the "up to 1200mbps" thing is the theoretical max, but i can barely get over 100 mbps despite having fiber gigabit internet and a gigabit router. I get right around 100 down wired, i get about 130 down over wifi (5 ghz). Not even close to worth the price i paid for this thing. I've even updated the device firmware and everything. It works, and works well, but the throughput speed is a lie. I work for an it company and the 100 down was only achieved after quite a bit of tinkering, it was at about 60-80 before. The router is maybe 20 feet from my room, it shouldn't be this bad.
