Love the integration with synology! Good price. Only time will tell how reliable they are.
I ordered two of these for my son's synology ds216j nas device after a 1-year old wd red 4 tb nas drive developed too many bad sectors. We tried multiple extensive s.M.A.R.T. Tests to map the bad sectors, and continue to use the wd drive, but nothing worked. So imagine my surprise when i plug-in the seagate ironwolf nas drives, and i see a wealth of new health-check and maintenance options appear in my synology dsm! I don't know much about the underlying agile array technology, but clearly synology is participating in it and its designed at maintaining the health of the drives. Since both the drives worked perfectly, i can't say how helpful all this new health functionality is. And to be fair, only time will tell how reliable these ironwolf nas drives truly are. At the time of my purchase, these drives are $30 cheaper (per drive) than the equivalent wd red 4 tb nas drives which is a huge plus.

Disks doing the job well
Works great with the qnap ts-251. Had no issues installing and everything needed was included which i wasn't sure would be true.

Didn't last a week
This hdd pooped out in about a week. Won't read at all. I'm unsure if there is a warranty. Or how to go about getting a new one.

Lots of space, terrible noisemaker
First one was doa, but outletpc return system made getting an exchange a breeze. Second drive works as it should, but i'm disappointed in the noise level. I purchased the previous generation seagate 4tb nas drive and it was as quiet as could be. This ironwolf is not. It really does sound like an old 350mb hard drive that i had in the 90s. Lots of clicks and cracks. Not ideal for a media server\dvr, which constantly has files being moved around. I think i'll wind up going wd red next time i need to upgrade.

Solid nas drive. You can mix and match these with wd nas drives as well.
