Best highend and high quality motherboard for amd ryzen with all the bells and whistles.
Bought this version of the asus crosshair vi, as it was the best version of the board, and i wanted to have all the features that i need now, as well as future proof it for features i may or will use later. I have been using asus boards nearly solely for the last 17yrs and as always the layout is very clean and thought out. I would even say asus did a better job with this design, as instead of having few fan controls and at that having them spread out to some degree, they mainly moved all the fan headers to the front of the board both at the top right and bottom left corners nearly, allowing for a cleaner run of cabling and not having fan wires all over. There is still a couple headers to the back, but the rest of the headers are in areas of the board that makes more sense, and on top of that, the board comes with a fan control header extension board. I like the fact that this board as well has 2 m.2 slots available, and that one slot as well uses the pch heatsink to cover it and keep it cool at the same time. There is as well a lot of feature on this board to love, and enough ports on the back to take care of all your devices. The asus csvie as well has 802.11ac wifi, and bluetooth built in along with aura rgb lighting throughout the board. The lighting can be turned off through the software if you don't like it, but i now plan on buying the thermaltake view 71 rgb case to showcase my computer and the rgb lighting. Bottom line, if you are looking for a top notch and high quality motherboard with all the features, bells, and whistles, you could wish for, than this is the board to get. I have paired it with an amd ryzen 1700 65w 8c/16t processor, 16gb corsair vengeance ddr4 3600 rgb memory, 1000w corsair rm1000i modular power supply, samsung 960 evo 250gb nvme ssd running windows 10, 3tb seagate barracuda sata for storage, and nvidia 11gb gddr5x 1080ti graphics card.
