Great board, will be even better as it matures more
Great board overall. Overclockers dream. Tons of options and settings for the pc and over clocking enthusiasts. However, voltage and temperature readings don't seem to be very true so once they get the small things sorted out, then it'll be a 5 star board in my eyes.

I am writing this review to enter into the "join the republic- your path to legendary continues" campaign.I have had this board for a few months now, since february to be specific. It's an amazing board, there were some launch hiccups but many of those issues have been sorted but there is still a lot left to fix. I am not sure if mine came with a faulty c-mos battery but overclocks are never perfect unless i clear the c-mos and if i do not boot up into the bios first before booting windows then the clock slows down and i have to manually fix it in the bios.I'm most likely a victim of early buying and modern boards should have those issues sorted out. Asus' led manager software isn't the best but i just have it set to red because of my build so.All in all it's a great board and i recommend it to anyone looking into a ryzen build, just be aware there is still some bios issues that are being worked on right now.

Technically, i'm writing this review on the system i built with the rog crosshair vi hero. It's been quite some time since i had built a system, but was excited and impressed by the ryzen 7 launch, and figured now was the time to build my gaming rig. My nzxt rog 450 case, running the ryzen 7 1800x on the rog crosshair vi hero, paired with the nzxt kraken x62 liquid cooler, 32gb corsair dominator ddr4 3200mhz ram, a rog geforce gtx 1080ti 11, and a kingston 240gb m.2 ssd. Let me tell you, i have performance to spare, and even under the most demanding conditions, i'm continuously impressed by the overall performance this board has brought to the table in conjunction with the ryzen 7 1800x. Well done asus. Well done.

Good if you don't need the fastest
Despite the comments in the forums about people being disappointed in this board, i bought it hoping that the bios would be updated to work with my not recommended choice of ram - g.Skill tridentz 3200 rgb series 32gb. I could only get the ram stable to 2700 something mhz, not the rated 3200mhz. The board did not come with the back plate holes punched out for the wifi ports to poke through so i drilled the plate to fix that. As well, the back plate had a sponge type foam covered in shielding foil and the sponge was too thick to properly align the motherboard holes for my case, so i removed the foam as carefully as i could. The audio was generally excellent with nice software to tweak to your wishes. But i had an intermittent right channel that seemed to mostly clear up when i got a different audio cable. I went to the trouble and switched to the asrock x370 gaming pro board from a suggestion received. I would say that the asus board and software is more deluxe, particularly with ports, headers and rgb look, but the asrock board allowed my ram to go full speed which is what i wanted. And i didn't have to spend days to get it to do that.

Great mobo, wifi is awesome for moving it around for vr.
Works great, a tone of usb ports, the wifi was awesome for the initial setup and moving it around for the vr setup. Rgb works well and syncs with the rgb ram. Wish there were more usb 2.0 headers for my particular setup(corsair psu link, nzxt kraken x62, and front io). I ended up buying an internal usb block for all those items. Easy overclocking. I'm kind of an average user, so i really don't have alot of technical information.
