5 stars for value, decent ability to fill modest room with bass.
Exactly as many have described, decent bass and decent ability to fill a modest (15x15 feet, 4.5x4.5 meter) room with star-wars-type sound and bass. Not saying this is anywhere near professional sound booth whatever quality, rather that the result is quite pleasant for the size and price of the outfit. Includes listening to orchestral music with bass/timpany passages, not just star wars rumbling space ship effects. Was able to turn the hardware volume control to max (allowing the computer to fully control the final sound level), without a noticeable/annoying hum or background noise asserting itself.Am not saying the sound quality is 5 stars in an absolute sense compared to all speakers in the world, rather the 5 stars reflect that the product exceeded my client's expectations for the size and price, and it would probably take an audio connoisseur to find something to be unhappy about with these speakers for a single room.Note that the "big" central speaker has an un-guarded paper cone speaker at the bottom, held off the ground by short legs. Meaning be a bit careful not to touch it during installing, nor should you set the big central speaker down on anything but a clear flat surface. Probably a more expensive bottom-speaker might have had a coarse-mesh protective wire guard over it, which would really only be "needed" for someone that planned to move the big central speaker around a lot.
