Fair quality ... Horrible support
I only tried these because they were essentially free through a rewards program at work and i was curious about getting into iot things. I have seven of these for a few months; five have worked flawlessly, one had to be re-'paired' a couple times, and one has been problematic from day one in that it would not stay paired and now cannot be paired at all. I like the capabilities of the wireless bulbs, and the smartphone application is ok, but they seem to be trying to continually update it (eg: adding more scene icons). However, when it comes to support, it is absolutely painful. The language barrier and technical competence of the phone service reps makes the actual 'support' almost non-existent. Trying to get an rma is almost impossible, requiring the repeated demand for further testing and lengthy questioning almost unbearable. Albeit very expensive for what it is, it still is just a light bulb. If one has proof of purchase and it doesn't work, most companies would just replace it. It took a half-dozen calls and two months to get an rma, totaling over three hours on the phone with people who just refused to believe me it was bad, and trying to show me i had done something wrong, even though i had perfect success setting up six other bulbs. If the rest of them and the replacement works well for a long time, i will probably keep them and perhaps add more later. If not, since they were essentially free to me, i will trash them and wait to try another brand someday. No hurry ... Iot has a long way to go; just like microsoft did back in the early windows era. And this company has a long way to go in learning how to run a support department that believes in service and respects customers.
