Good cable, not ul listed
At the time of my order this cord was described as "monoprice 14-inch 14awg nema 5-15 male to 2x female power cord splitter cable - black." i received this cord from monoprice, via outletpc, on june 14, 2013.This cord is almost exactly 14 inches if you include the length of both ends (plug and receptacle) and don't include the length of the pins on the plug end. The stamping on the cord is " ... Monoprice sjt 3/c 14awg(2.08mm2) 300v ..."on monoprice.Com this product is described as "... Heavy duty 14awg cable will handle just about any demanding 125v load up to 15amps. ..." this description is consistent with a 14 awg wire of any length less than ~64 feet (depending on info source). I drew ~14.9 amps (~120v) of mostly resistive load (and a small amount of inductive load) through this cable and noted an approximate 0.1 volt drop from input to output (both sides of the split were tested separately). This voltage drop is consistent with the general specs of 14 awg wire, although the equipment i used would be better for testing 10 foot or longer cords rather than this short 14 inch cord. This cord is not shown to be ul listed / nrtl listed and it appears that many (if not all) of the cords made by monoprice are not listed.
