Torq 5XL Review
I did not buy this mouse. I won it because i wore a t-shirt during pax prime and i think the booth guy didn't feel like wandering too far or thought i was just kinda pitiable. Maybe both. I decided to use it for 3 weeks before reviewing for reasons of fairnesspros:evga software makes programming the mouse buttons and on the fly dpi settings foolproofthe mouse stores several profiles which you can easily switch between via whichever buttons you choose to map to that function even if you are using a different computer or do not have the evga software runningglides easily, fairly lightweight but maybe some people don't like thatevga was kind enough to include a velcro cord wrapper since not everyone will need or want the full length of the cordthe lights are kinda fun and can be set to whatever color you likecons:mouse wheel quite stiff. I greatly enjoy the hyperscrolling feature on my logitech g500s but even without that the scrolling is much smoother than that of the x5lno adjustable weight tuning. I only mention this because my g500s cost around 50$ just like the torq x5l and the newer version the g502 costs around the same as well and they both have this feature as well as the aforementioned hyperscrollingright side buttons are quite inconveniently placedthoughts:the ambidextrous build might appeal to the left handed minority but i like a right hand centric mouse. I prefer a palm grip for browsing and a grip about 1.5cm raised for games but a palm grip is difficult with a wrist rest and this forces you into a claw grip. Some folks prefer it that way all the time so i didn't list that as a con.The mouse is quite good but the grip is not quite in line with my habits. Against the competition in the same price range of 50$-60$ i think i would prefer mice with all extra buttons accessible by the thumb as well as a molded rather than ambidextrous grip

Great mouse, just kinda bummed theres no off switch to the "rgb" nor the dpi indicator. Thinking about disassembling and intensionally breaking the lights. Aside from that its great. Oh yeah and the scroll wheel throws fits from time to time when say scrolling down it may scroll down a bit but then scroll up a hair. Or initially scroll up a bit then go down. Or vice versa

I tried updating the firmware and searching online for a solution but found nothing useful, just others with the same problem
The scroll wheel jumped all over the place making this mouse unusable. I tried updating the firmware and searching online for a solution but found nothing useful, just others with the same problem. Outletpc refund process painless.

So it showed up, and i didn't need it right away it was just for gaming. The scroll wheel did not work.*the mouse is otherwise a working unit / but pretty much ineffective for any games and double so if you play shooters.Didn't realize it was defective in time to return it.Other friends own these, and love them. Mine was clearly a one-off defective unit.
