These results are according to a cpu temperature program i downloaded specifically for the purpose of this review. The laptop i'm using is an acer d270.With the fan running. 35c on the first core. 38c on the second core.Without the fan running. 35c on the first core. 39c on the second core. The cpu load seemed to stay about the same either way.My keyboard was noticeably cooler when i was touching it so i might not have had my 10" netbook positioned on it exactly where it needed to be.Yes, it does work to drop the temp a tiny bit. It's also extremely quiet so i don't even hear it most of the time. I'm not sure if i would recommend this cooler if you're doing a lot of gaming on a laptop as i don't think it would be very effective. For general computing though i would recommend it, it at least creates an air gap between your laptop and whatever surface it's on. This cooling stand is also extremely light and portable so it could go on the road with you. For the price i don't think you can go too wrong.
