A very responsive and highly customizable gaming keyboard
This is an excellent customizable keyboard that works great for gaming and great for typing. The keys are extremely responsive and it even registers multiple key presses with a great degree of accuracy. The keys have a nice mechanical feel that i really like. They depress easily but as well offer a bit of tactile feedback. Nice and clicky. The backlights are customizable, you can program keys to be lid individually, you can even set up animation effects if you're into that. There's a built in numerical keypad and there are macro keys that can be used to record and repeat a sequence of actions.I've used this both with an imac and a gaming pc - my son has both on his desk and switches between them, using the mac for homework and the pc for online gaming. The software only works on the pc, but it's still a better and much more responsive keyboard than the one that came with the imac, so he uses this keyboard with both, switching the plug between them. You can only get the full use of this with a pc, and using the software everything is customizable. There's a built in headset jack and a usb outlet on the keyboard, both of which are very convenient. It's a fantastic keyboard for both gaming and everyday use. I had a chance to try out a sample unit for the purpose of testing and review and i'm very happy with it.

Amazing keyboard, great build quality
I really really like this keyboard! I have been using it for a few hours now and i honestly love it. The only gripes i have with it is the fact that the lighting only lights up to top half of keys which is noticed when looking at all the numbers keys, and that i keep accidentally pressing g1 when i go to press esc, or when i go to press ctrl but accidentally press g6. I would as well like to mention that this is my first mechanical keyboard, but i have done hours upon hours upon hours of research before i picked a keyboard, and this keyboard specifically stood out to me. The build quality is above par! It is fairly heavy for a keyboard but it prob in part of the fact that it has metal plating as well as a metal rod surrounding the keyboard. One thing that i did like was that the spacebar wasn't held up by a stabilizer, as in the metal rods under big keys, the bigger keys have their own extra "switch-like" mechanisms that perform the same purpose. It as well features a usb port, headphone input, microphone imput, and a a little flap to help control slack of a mouse cable. When it comes to the software, i didn't have much problems, it could be in part that when writing this review, the day i have received this keyboard, that there was a new version, but i had no problems besides trying to figure out how to save the changes i have made. The software as well features a lot of cool lighting effects, but i will stick to my standard red lighting. I would highly recommend this keyboard.

It's a good keyboard but it does have some flaws keeping it ...
This is the same as the km780 only without the extra keycaps. It's a good keyboard but it does have some flaws keeping it from being perfect. This keyboard has quality metal build, dedicated media keys (so important) and rubberized wrist support. It's brushed metal so it looks nice, solid, and heavy. The main flaw is the software. It's not bad but it's not as intuitive as logitech's gaming software. It does allow per key lighting or effects, but not both. The macros are hit and miss. Some macros need the software to be running even though it's saved to the keyboard. I can't launch a program or website without the software but the macro to put the computer to sleep works fine. The keyboard would sometimes not wake properly leaving only a few keys lighted and functional requiring you to reconnect the usb, though i'm told that it's a setting with asus motherboard. A minor issue is the middle of the wrist support curves in so when you're typing, your right hand rest on that spot and doesn't have the same support. Still using this keyboard feels nice and overall i like this keyboard even despite those flaws.Prossturdy metaldedicated media keys with a light up volume indicatordetachable wrist wrestmacro recording on the fly with 3 profileusb and sound pass throughconssoftwarekeyboard may freeze upon wake upthe wrist rest design is flawedthe piping on the side just adds bulkaggressive "gamer" design

Remember all those home runs you never caught? This will make up for it!
My absolute favorite keyboard to date (from 25-30 years of trying to find the perfect one)!! Wish i could give 6 stars. 1) back lighting is perfect, soft around edges of keys, vibrant under keys, very easy to read. 2) i've never met anyone who needs 10-30 programmable keys, no matter what they're playing...6 is more than enough and keeps size within reason. 3) heavy and very well made, key clicks are very precise, like a perfect trigger pull feels like on a handgun...You're never off center. 4) multimedia and volume controls on top right are out of the way for day to day use, very accessible when you need them. 4) looks, looks, looks...Not sure like what exactly, but don't have to be, and it's got 'em in spades. Matte black, aluminum trim, very modern without being "spacey". 5) the keys don't have a crazy font or multiple unreadable characters...Classic and completely useful. The only thing i don't like is that they don't make more keyboards...I'd absolutely buy one of each. This is a home run!

It's awesome!
It's a great keyboard. I came from a membrane keyboard and this is a thousand times better. With my old keyboard (kb-chm-mbblus-01), the large keys (space, enter, etc.) wouldn't register unless you pressed them in the direct middle with a decent amount of force. With the cherry mx brown switches you can feel when it actuates and know that it actually registered. That is really just more of a complement to the mechanical switches, not necessarily the keyboard. The metal bar around the keyboard adds a really nice aesthetic to it, plus a lot of strength. The brushed aluminum backplate looks really nice and very premium, but as i'm sure everyone knows at this point, is a fingerprint magnet.I haven't even had this for a week yet and i can already see some fingerprints around the arrow keys where i removed the keycaps. The backlighted is very nice. It has a red tinge over the keyboard which blends in well with my setup. At its brightest it is pretty bright, so i keep it at it's lowest setting. The profile, windows lock, brightness, timer (ikr, weird), and media keys all have a nice metal look to them which blends in well with the bar on the outside and aluminum plate. On a previous keyboard i owned, the media keys didn't have backlighting, so if i was watching something in the dark, it was hard to see what i was pressing. These are all backlit which is really nice, though. The volume indicator is a really nice addition as well. The volume wheel is super nice. You can really feel where it is with texture on it.The wrist rest is probably the worst part about this keyboard and it is great. The texture feels really nice on my skin and doesn't irritate it at all. The only bad thing about it is the indent in the middle, which it sort of awkward to type with, but only takes about a day to get used to. After that, i could type normal. All in all, this is a very nice keyboard that i would fully recommend to anybody in the market for a mechanical keyboard.

Wow! This is an amazing keyboard!
Wow! This is an amazing value. A manual keyboard with cherry switches for this price! I am so stoked! The lights are amazing, super bright and super clear. He buttons are just the right size. It is the best working and best looking keyboard i have ever had by far. I loved my microsoft sidewinder and it was hard to replace. This is the one for me! This keyboard is not light. It is heavy and well built. The braided cable is 1/4 inch wide. Very, very nice, at a price i can afford. Thank you so much g. Skill!!!!
