Perfect wireless/bluetooth mouse
Needed a new bluetooth mouse for a nice new rig i built with integrated wifi/bluetooth. I originally bought a logitech mx master 2s but had too many buggy issues with it and build quality was not what i was looking for. Next stop was the corsair dark core - and it hit all the buttons.Great feel and heft, fast movements on variety of surfaces, great rgb lighting with full control of how and where and perfect button placement. Scroll wheel has nice feel and works perfectly with scrolling through web sites as i am reading. Works immediately no software with both wifi and bt, no fuss or problems. Cue software is a bit non-intuitive but gets the job done. Full control over lighting and 3 different game profiles.Highly recommended.

Eh...
Can't use this with a wired connection with the device turned off so it's constantly charging.Supplied cable has white poka dots. What's wrong with a solid black one?Buttons and wheel do not feel tightly secured for some odd reason- slight clanking noise if i shake the mouse.Side buttons are too far apart and is rather hard to reach.Only reason it's getting a 3 star instead of a 1 is because i haven't had any issues with connectivity.

Too wide for my hand

Best wireless mouse for gaming and multimedia work
Mouse is solid, fairly heavy not too fond of the side buttons as the "sniper" button is a little big and pushes the "forward" button just out of reach of my thumb. Two left click media buttons are kind of small and hard to hit with precision. Middle dpi button is kind of dumb.-biggest let down is the fact that the middle roller button is omni-directional and there is no lateral click, which is how i normally have my previous/play/pause/next controls set up.-battery holds up ok took two days of not plugged in to drain from full to half, according to cue software.Could not get macros to work when i have both this and k95 extended keyboard plugged in.Overall great wireless mouse, however button location should be re-though would love to see a company do something like the razer hex but wireless..Asus spatha is closest thing but that is huge and $$$

The best mouse you can buy even if not used for "gaming"...
Hands down the best mouse on the planet! Perfect feel, perfect response, sweet looks, perfect button layout and the best scroll wheel ever. I don't game, so i can't speak to it's performance there. I suspect greatness, though. My hand is 7.75" from wrist to tip of middle finger and this mouse fits my hand very well. It actually could be slightly larger for my taste but it's so good at everything it does that i stopped looking for anything else (and i did try quite a few). The feel of the plastic on this thing is soooo good! The pinky finger support is simply wonderful. I didn't know how good a mouse could be until now. It's worth every single penny of the question price. The buttons click so nicely, it's so responsive and you can adjust the dpi from 0-16k to fine tune to your taste. And the scroll wheel is perfectly weighted, nicely rubberized, clicks smoothly and doesn't have any wobble. It's scrolling heaven! The thumb buttons are placed exactly where they should be. I don't have to move my hand around or exert any effort to find these buttons and use them. How do other designs fail here so badly? I don't have the respond but i can tell you it's a total deal breaker for me. Corsair hit the nail on the head here. Button layout: perfect. The only thing this mouse is missing is a scroll left/right action. I had that with my microsoft and it was nice but really not used very often. It's almost not worth mentioning when everything else is such a full blown win! Buy this mouse. It's beautiful. It's the best. Period.

Really good
The mouse after the firmware updates has no problems on connection, as far as i've seen. Don't know about bluetooth though as i just use the transceiver. It's just the right size for my hand, and all the buttons are pretty accessible, other than the profile switch button, and especially the foward button. Not that i use the foward button though. Can as well be used wired by connecting a type c cable to the computer, which is provided in the package. When using it wired, it charges at the same time.Main problem i have is corsair's icue software. It always lags on starting up, and always uses a good chunk of my cpu for some reason. Personally suggest to just save the profiles on the mouse hardware storage and then just closing icue

Its a good mouse, but there are better that cost less
My son is a big online gamer. Here?€™s what he has to say:this is a really good gaming mouse thats superior to a standard mouse, but there are betters ones out there that cost a lot less. Although some people may like that its wireless, he?€™s been using it wired because it has a smoother glide versus the bluetooth connection where the cursor occasionally snaps across the screen. The mouse cable is wrapped with a rubbery like material thats unlike most mouse cables. It offers a little less resistance than a standard mouse cable and he likes that it doesn?€™t get hooked on the edge of the desk. Its very comfortable in the hand, although the customizable buttons take a little getting used to. Every once in a while, he accidentally hits the left the customized button on the left hand side when he?€™s hitting the left mouse button. Its on the fly dpi settings are a big plus for online gamers, especially if you like to play first person shooting games. The rgb lights are a fun bonus, but really nothing special or much different than other mice that light up. Overall he really likes it, but would never pay $80 for it.

Even if you're not a gamer, this has a few advantages over the wireless mice i've used before. One it's bigger, which isn't necessarily an advantage if you have tiny hands, but for me it fits nicely. Another thing is you don't need alkaline batteries. You just plug it into a usb port to charge and then you can use it as a wireless mouse. You can use it when it's plugged in. You can as well connect it by bluetooth, though i have an innate mistrust of bluetooth. I suppose for the gaming there are extra buttons along with the three normal ones and the wheel; since the sims and peggle are more my gaming speed i probably won't use them much.

Feels good, some great features, lots of connection options, software dependent for custom features
This mouse has a lot going for it, but it has some features that i just wasn't super excited about for my gaming style. First, the positives. This mouse can run in wired mode, or wireless via 2.4ghz dongle for 1ms response time or bluetooth with slightly more delay, but it's fine for everyday use. The egronomics are good and the mouse feels good to use. There is an interchangeable magnetic piece you can change if you want a pinky rest, but the thumb rest is not removable on this mouse, the corsair icue software has been updated from the old corsair utility engine to help better sync all your rgb and settings, assuming they are compatible with icue. The settings are easy to change, and i had no trouble saving settings, but the mouse has to be wired to do so for some reason. The software is as well my biggest complaint about this mouse. It has to be running in the background or you will not get any of the functionality of the extra buttons, like the sniper button. For some people, this may not be a big issue, and i guess it's necessary to remap the buttons since they are not common to most mice, but it was something i am not used to as a primarily fps player. The top buttons next to the left mouse click are mapped to dpi by default, and are easy to push accidentally if you aren't used to a mouse like this. The scroll wheel feels decent, but definitely not the same quality level as something like the logitech g900, which has a prominent click and an overall better quality feel, while as well being lighter than the dark core rgb. These are 2 very different mice, so i'm not comparing them here, just wanted to point out the differences with the scroll wheels. The final thing i had to get used to but ended up working ok were the 2 side buttons. Because of the sniper button in the middle, the side buttons are spaced out a lot, which takes some getting used to if you have played a lot with a standard gaming mouse.I adjusted to this fairly quickly but it's still a little weird to me, even after a lot of hours using this mouse. As a non-gaming mouse, this is great. I wouldn't recommend paying this much just for a general purpose computer mouse, but you may find the look and feel suitable for non-gaming use. You can map the buttons to macro functions easily using the icue software, and i found the mouse comfortable to hold for hours at a time in normal use. This mouse is a lot different than i expected, but i do think it has a place for definite game types and play styles. The overall quality is good, and i'd definitely recommend it to someone who will use the sniper button a lot, or likes the button layout of this mouse, which is more than the standard gaming mouse without adding 20 extra buttons on the side. The rgb features are nice, and can sync with you computer and keyboard rgb if you have compatible accessories which is kind of interesting. I think i will be sticking to my g900 and my corsair glaive - rgb gaming mouse, which i have grown to love after many hours of use. A mouse is a very personal thing and hard to recommend to a stranger, but hopefully this review helped narrow down your decision.
