Fast, good quality ssd
We purchased the adata ssd on a lightning deal.It shipped out and arrived on time. This is my 3rd adata ssd. This one is the largest i have purchased so far. After you register it, you get a copy of acronis software.Easy to clone and install.Works great and very fast.My computer took about 1 minute or a little more to completely start up.Now it's fully started and ready to go from 14 to 20 seconds.I'm happy with it and would buy again.

Super easy install, very fast, very quiet, fantastic price (2tb version)
I installed this in a dell precision m6500 that had a 2tb samsung drive in it. The m6500 has space for two 2.5 inch hdds, so i left the samsung in bay 0 and installed the su800 2tb in bay 1. I used reflect disk cloning software from macrium to clone the samsung to the su800 (i highly recommend this software). I own a licensed copy, but there is a free personal version that will work just fine for this. After cloning i went into the m6500's bios and swapped the boot order so that it would boot from drive 1 first, then drive 0 (if drive 1 failed). It then booted right up off the su800, about 8x faster than from the samsung. I'm running windows 7 ultimate x64 sp1 on an i7 x940 @ 2.13ghz ht (8 cores) with 32gb ram and an nvidia 5000. My windows experience index was always 5.6 because of the hdd (out of 7.5 max). Now with the su800 as the primary hdd, the index is 7.2 and the hdd maxes out at 7.5. I have not performed speed tests but everything disk i/o related is far faster than before, it's really amazing. And this is a drive in a machine that is 6+ years old, with over 1tb of data and just over 12m files. One comment, if you use reflect you can set it up to auto clone daily to a backup drive. I left the original samsung 2tb drive in bay 0, and now i am cloning the su800 to the samsung every night as an automatic process. It runs a smart sector copy that only copies changes, so the clone process is very fast. But in this way, should the su800 fail the system will still boot and run from the original samsung. Because no matter now far ssds have come, i am still somewhat skeptical as to long-term reliability. If you switch to an ssd as your primary (which i highly recommend), install cloning software and clone/backup your ssd to a conventional drive! Few final comments.. This thing is dead quiet (obviously) and pulls only a fraction of the current as the samsung. Overall, i am very pleased with this purchase.

Excellent ssd for use as a steam library!
I waited quite a long time before i purchased a higher capacity ssd for my steam library. I would normally use the cheaper solid state hybrid drives but their performance versus a true ssd is pathetic. After moving my steam library over to this 2tb ssd, i can honestly attest to the change in my gaming experience. Load times are down by nearly half and loading individual parts of a level (let's take fallout 4 as an example) is much improved. The most important feature of an ssd though is the fact it has no moving parts and you won't be replacing it after a mere 3 years. Unless you deliberately abuse the drive it will last for years and years. I was replacing my old hdds every 2-3 years so hopefully my investment in this quality ssd will allow me to have a storage device for the usable life of my pc rather than just a few years.I would still recommend having an old school hdd just to dump games onto that you have beaten and are done playing (just in case you want to revisit them later). This will allow you to make room on your ssd for new games but you won't have to re-download 60gbs of data just to play your old games again.

Worked for about 3 days
Worked for about 3 days then started to lose data. Drive is very light compared to other ssd in smaller capacities i own.

Bad performance, excellent durability. Conditionally recommended
Use case i needed a high-capacity ssd to use as the first storage tier on my blue iris nvr machine. The unique requirements of the application prioritize durability over raw performance. I thought i'd give this item a try. Packaging/performance sata ssd packaging keeps getting more and more spare - and this item is no exception. While the packaging is large enough to accommodate a 3.5" adapter bracket, none is included. In fact, nothing is included. There isn't even a pamphlet with warranty information (that's printed on the inside of the box!). There is a qr code you can scan, but i didn't bother. You can head to the adata site and download the ssd toolbox and migration utility (rebranded acronis true image). As far as the performance of this drive is concerned, it's bad... Even for a sata ssd. You can blame the micron tlc, and how adata chose to use it. Despite the listed specs, expect about half the iops and str you'd get from the equivalent samsung drive. The caching on the drive make an odd performance profile, as steady state writes end up causing weird flushing behavior. Special note tlc ssds aren't typically known for their durability. Some 2tb drives have lifespans as low as 500tbw... This device has a durability rating of 1600tbw (which is 33% higher than the equivalent 860 evo). Conclusion in my application, the performance is fine, but i wouldn't use this drive as a boot device (or if you want a fast drive, in general). This drive is great for capacity on the cheap, or extraordinary durability. It's hard to recommend it on any basis other than that, as it really has no other redeeming qualities.

Garbage drive - plastic casing- bad sectors on arrival
Received this drive, first thing i do is to check health info on this disk, came as good 80%... Bad sectors on disk.. I have several year old ssds that will still test 100%.. And no bad sectors. Top shell/casing of this drive is plastic.. Never seen this on a ssd until today.
